A foundation built on love, memory, and an unwavering commitment to those who need it most.
Established in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, the Akkimi Prameelamma Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting underserved communities through sustainable programs in education, healthcare, and social welfare. We exist to serve those who are most often overlooked — and to do so with sincerity, dignity, and care.
A Life Rooted in Kindness
Born in the village of Panderla Palle (Krishnagiri Mandal, Kurnool), Akkimi Prameelamma’s life was defined by an innate desire to serve. From her earliest days, she was a beacon of compassion and humility. Following her marriage with A. Purushottam Reddy and moving to Kurnool, she became a pillar of strength for her family, raising three children with the same core values of honesty and kindness that she lived by every day.
"Every individual deserves access to food, education, and the chance to live with dignity."
A Heart for the People
Prameelamma believed that no one should ever leave her doorstep hungry. Her home was a sanctuary where guests and strangers alike were welcomed with warmth and a meal. She was a quiet revolutionary, working at her own level to uplift those around her and empower the vulnerable through simple, consistent acts of love.
Continuing the Journey
Though she is no longer with us, her vision lives on. On her death anniversary, her son Akkimi Hanumantha Reddy inaugurated the Akkimi Prameelamma Foundation to honor her memory. Today, the foundation serves as a living tribute to her legacy—continuing her mission to care, support, and make a significant, positive impact on society.
Your support helps us reach more families, more children, and more lives across Andhra Pradesh.
